The Wolfson Entrepreneurs’ Society (WES) and Entrepreneurship Hub bring together students, alumni, and Fellows interested in entrepreneurship in its broadest sense. The programme aims to make entrepreneurship more accessible by providing opportunities to learn from experienced founders, develop new skills, and connect with a community of innovators.
The Society explores entrepreneurship beyond traditional startup creation, supporting interests in commercial ventures, social entrepreneurship, cultural entrepreneurship, and the application of entrepreneurial thinking in other careers and sectors. Through talks, workshops, mentoring, networking opportunities, and competitions, participants are encouraged to explore how ideas can be translated into impact.
A key feature of the programme is its emphasis on hearing directly from entrepreneurs within the Wolfson community, who share both their successes and the challenges they have encountered. This helps demystify entrepreneurship and provides practical insight for those considering entrepreneurial careers or projects.
Alongside the annual Wolfson Enterprise Competition, the programme creates opportunities for students and alumni to develop entrepreneurial skills, explore ideas, and engage with Cambridge’s wider innovation ecosystem.
